My choice of colours always plays an exciting part in selection and realization. I love pushing the colours a hint lighter or darker, brighter or whiter, and this joy can last many weeks as I bend and stick the acrylic paint to the form I desire. The curving and flowing lines I hope give movement and abstractness that carry the veiwers eyes around the canvas. Instead I found the islands I visited mostly dry and desolate. But what I did see was a lot of erotic postcards and manuals on ancient greek lovemaking, an unusal discovery,and one that aroused me and led me to apply a modern twist, on an acient style, even the two colours up-dating the theme as well as adding a more suductive contrast in red and black."

"Managing my life, my art and my job is full time.  Art is my passion and I try to put that into my work.  Most pieces start out as an idea that I elaborate into lines and then colour. This series comes out of my delight in looking at young mens faces, and here I try to combine two different faces into one as a type of collage. The faces then become one in a kind of continuous way.      I mostly make my frames and stretch the canvas. This helps me to realize the size of the painting and the proportions of background. With this series of faces I have chosen a white background to give a strong contrast and in itself a shape and outline. The Greek lovers series, was inspired by my visit to Greece looking for something exotic or tropical.
