Large framed oil painting dating from circa 1935. Dimensions (excluding the frame) 95 x 71 cms (37" x 28")Artist unknown, though in the style of Glyn Philpot (1884 - 1937. Philpot was the leading society portrait painter of his day. He also produced many paintings of his black lover and other black sitters (an example is displayed above. Another suggested artist is the British designer Oliver Messel, who lived for some time in the Carribean.
